The new Assistant Ministry will help deliver a Fresh Start for Queensland and includes representatives from every region to ensure a strong voice for regional Queensland, said the Premier.

“We have a bold and ambitious plan for a fresh start for Queensland and our Assistant Ministry will be key in delivering it,” Premier Crisafulli said.

“The fresh faces in this Assistant Ministry are part of generation next and will be instrumental in delivering for Queenslanders.

“These Assistant Ministers are hungry to serve and their energy and hard work will be harnessed to benefit the length and breadth of our State,” he said.

The Premier has followed the lead of NSW in expanding the Assistant Ministry to 10 positions.

“I promised regional Queensland would have a strong voice in the leadership of government and every region is represented in this Assistant Ministry.

“Assistant Ministers will assist Cabinet in delivering our promises to Queenslanders across focuses of tourism, housing, resources, mental health, water, finance and multicultural affairs.

“Their roles will also be about listening to Queenslanders to inform strong policy development.”
