Linda Waugh has been appointed as Queensland’s new Integrity Commissioner.
Ms Waugh (pictured) is currently the Merit Protection Commissioner for the Australian Public Service and Parliamentary Service, a role which she has held since 2018.
She has prior experience as Victorian Assistant Ombudsman and NSW Deputy Ombudsman and other roles in risk services and corruption prevention, education and research.
The Integrity Commissioner is an officer of the Queensland Parliament, with responsibility for providing advice on integrity and ethics issues to members of the Legislative Assembly, statutory office holders, senior public servants and other designated persons and former designated persons.
The role also oversees the registration of lobbyists in Queensland, and maintenance of the Queensland Register of Lobbyists.
